Have you got a new pup and don’t know where to start?

Is your puppy mouthing, nipping and chewing everything and everyone in sight?

Do you feel out of control and don’t know whether you’re doing right from wrong?

Are there puppy pads all over your kitchen floor, and you’re having to stop the puppy ripping and chewing them?

If it was easier to bring up your kids, then learning just a few uncomplicated rules will make your life with a puppy a whole lot easier.

When you’re not sure how to manage a lively, bitey, over-excited pup, then it’s really easy to start micro-managing situations and overthink things.

Let me show you how to get the best from your pup. Learn some straightforward ways to teach your puppy the rules and boundaries of living with you and your family. Get some clarity and understand the reasons why things can go a bit pear-shaped.

We will look at;

Settling your puppy in for the first few days and nights

The best ways to socialise and introduce your puppy to the outside world

Establishing a simple and easy routine to get your puppy toilet trained within the first few weeks of living with you

Manageable ways to prevent separation anxiety, so your pup is happy left alone

How to create calm

The best way to deal with mouthing, biting and chewing

Easy ways to connect with your puppy and have them listening and responding to you

Easy techniques so your puppy can respond to their name and come running back to you when called

Nutrition advice on what works best for your lifestyle

Grooming and handling, especially if you’ve got a very fluffy dog

How to use rewards and play to get the best responses so you can create win-win situations

Simple ways to tire your puppy out with minimal effort from you

Understand dog body language and build a strong bond through communication

Start the process of teaching your pup to walk nicely next to you

Manners, jumping up, sit, leave it, drop

Having a puppy can be one of the most exciting things life has to offer, and getting it right from the start will pay off.

Depending on how much support you want or need, we have a package that will suit you.

FAQ’s

When’s the best age to start training a puppy?

A puppy learns from every interaction with you, so it’s a good idea to start setting your boundaries and routines as soon as the puppy comes into your home. We like to think of training as bond building, so having short fun sessions, to begin with, will strengthen your relationship.

How long will it take to train the puppy?

There is no time limit to training. Once you understand a little bit more about why your puppy behaves in a certain way, then the need for a lot of training will reduce.

Do I have to be there when you do the training session?

You can choose to employ me to train your dog. This includes a session where I will show you what your dog has learnt and how to get them to respond the way you want.

It’s essential to understand the motivators for your pup.

This understanding is what will make your relationship bloom.

Best money I’ve ever spent!

Excellent trainer and value for money!

We have a 4-month-old Staffie who was teething, chewing furniture and was very excitable.

Toddies dog trainer jean helped us immediately.

We purchased the silver package which was a one hour zoom meeting and 3 face to face sessions. This was such great value for money. In no time at all we had our pup sitting obediently, stopped jumping up at visitors when they came over and recalling effectively.

Jean taught my family very structured ways to get the best behaviour from our pup, followed by supported videos to reinforce what we had learnt.

I can’t recommend her enough! We see people in the park struggling with their puppies and I always recommend her.

If you want to enjoy your dog to the max jean can help you do that very quickly.

We can’t thank her enough!

Excellent service. Best money I’ve ever spent.

Dog Training Litherland

Toilet trained in 4 weeks

“We booked the 4 sessions with Jean, although some of those session Jean actually offered to change to 2x 30min sessions instead of 1x 1hour session (when the puppy was too tired to train properly).

Jean has been brilliant and has taught us how to train our puppy, rather than just doing the training herself. Having never had a dog before, me and my partner had no clue, but Jean has talked us through everything, and sends videos and handouts so we can refer back after the sessions.

We've been training with Jean for around 4 weeks now and our puppy is now fully toilet trained and has mastered 'leave it' - very useful! While most of our sessions have been on zoom (which were actually brilliant), we have had one in person session where Jean taught us recall and walking on a lead.

Would highly recommend to anyone considering a puppy trainer to go with Jean!”
